In the lecture basic electrotechnical tools such as the field term, field types, coordinate systems, differential operators and integral sets are taught.

This lays the foundation for the investigation of problems in electrostatics (Coulomb's law, field strength, simple symmetries, charge distribution, etc.), the stationary flow field (current density, material equation, boundary conditions), stationary/quasi-stationary fields and magnetostatics.

The aim of the lecture is to deepen the participants' basic knowledge of electromagnetic fields and to develop a strong theoretical basis. In addition, basic mathematical methods and tools for solving field theoretical problems will be learned.
